The cooling power of water

Pyromaster’s extinguishing spray consists mainly of water, to which special foaming agents, so called aqueous film forming foams (AFFF), are added. Therefore it can also be used on live electrical equipment up to a voltage of 1000 Volt.

When in use the water removes the heat from the seat of fire and cools burning material below its ignition point, thus interrupting the thermal reaction. At the same time the heavy foam formed when spraying suffocates the fire.

Pyromaster’s fat extinguishing spray (Fettlöschspray) contains a newly developed special extinguishing agent PM 5000 for fires of edible fats and oils.
